Peter Blecher Founder and Managing Principal (Victoria)
Backed by 30 years experience spanning management consulting, software development start-ups and academic research, Peter has held advisory and strategy leadership roles for various Tier1 organisations including divisions of BHPB, MMG, BMA Coal and Coles Myer. Peter's focus is strategy, organisational and cultural change, executive communication and program delivery, bringing a wealth of insight, pragmatism and strategic frameworks. Prior to forming BEDROCKmg, Peter was a Director with KPMG Consulting in Australia and Europe and led collaborative research on Decision Support Systems with Monash University. Peter has a Bachelor of Science at Melbourne University and a Master of Information Systems from Monash University.
Ben Willey Automation Practice Lead (Queensland)
An Engineering and Technology professional with over 20 years experience in the Mining and Construction sectors. Bens’ career focus has been performance improvement and technology implementation. Strengths include Mine Operations, Maintenance, Mine Engineering, Mining Technology, AHS and Automation. Ben led the Technology Acceleration programs for Thiess and BGC and held senior corporate technology and project engineering at lient sites such as Solomon Mine, Mt Keith, Mt Owen and South Walker Creek. Ben's consulting engagements have included strategic advisory roles with BHP, Anglo Gold Ashanti, Newcrest, Yancoal and Aurelia Metals. Ben has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying) and has completed a Finance and Accounting program at Stanford University.

Backed by 20 years of experience, Terry specialises in Workplace Transformation, Business Communication and Project & Program Delivery. Terry is a senior IT Consultant and Project Manager who has managed major industry transforming projects in the Australian Mining and Energy sectors. With extensive experience with KPMG, BHP and BEDROCKmg, Terry background covers projects involving complex stakeholder relationships, highly distributed teams and tight delivery timelines.
Sarah Wheeler Automation & Fleet Management Advisory
Sarah is a mining engineer with a focus on mining industry automation and its organizational implications. She has extensive global experience with open pit and underground operations and a detailed knowledge of autonomous solutions including those currently under R&D. She has conducted detailed Operational Readiness Assessments for the implementation of autonomous and enabling technologies with Tier 1 mining operations, defining technology roadmaps and developing implementation and change management strategies. Sarah’s background enables her to effectively bridge the gap between solution vendors and the mining companies their technologies serve. Her professional background includes roles with Hitachi, GoldFields, Rio Tinto and BHP. Sarah has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) Hons at UNSW, a Diploma of Communications (ASCA) and has on-going involvement with MassMin, GMSG and ISO Automation Standards groups. She is a board member of the AusIMM Education Endowment Fund and serves an ongoing role as mentor and speaker for Women in Mining and Engineering. She is an on-going representative and speaker at conferences including AIMEX, CIM, Optimising Mine Operations Conference, WMC World Mining Congress, Mine Automation and Communications Conference and MinExpo.
Chris Mahoney Business Integration Practice Lead (Queensland)
Chris is the BEDROCKmg Business Integration Practice Lead and a member of the BEDROCKmg leadership team since 2003. Chris has 20+years consulting experience across mining and healthcare and has held GM roles with Western Mining Corporation (WMC). Chris brings a deep understanding of the role of technology in generating business value and how best to navigate the challenges in technology based business transformation. His clients include BHP Billiton, Brookfield, Bluescope Steel, BMA Coal, MMG, Glencore, Oil Search, DBCT and WICET.
Tony Mulholland Mining Systems Practice Lead (Queensland)
Tony has over 30 years experience in industry transforming strategic advisory, operational and solution development roles across the Resources sector. Prior to joining BEDROCKmg, Tony occupied roles as GM Strategy, Architecture and Planning and head of Operational Systems at BHP Billiton’s BMA Coal. He has been an industry leader in area operational systems and process improvement with key “Owners Team” roles with MMG, BHP Manganese, BMA Coal, BHP's Olympic Dam Expansion Project, WICET, Oceana Gold, Newcrest and Telstra. Tony is a proven industry innovator, with extensive organisational and technical knowledge across the mining value chain spanning processing, fleet and operational management, mine planning, met accounting, operational reporting and health and safety. He has applied this knowledge through leadership roles in the development of widely used Mining Functional Reference Models and through contribution to the Open Group’s EMMM standards. Tony has a Bachelor of Business (IT) with Accounting and Management Minors – (La Trobe University).
Dr Gus Ferguson CTO and Enterprise Architecture Practice Lead (Victoria)
Gus is a highly experienced Technologist and Enterprise Architect having worked for BHP Billiton in a number of roles over 20 years, including ten years as Chief IT Technologist. Gus is a qualified geologist (with a PhD) and has held other senior IT positions, including Regional IT Architect at General Motors and Dimension Data’s Consulting Practice prior to joining BEDROCKmg. Gus has over 25 years in the IT and Resources industries, ranging from technical computing, communications, infrastructure strategy, strategic planning and Enterprise Architecture.
Naush Dinshaw Financial Analysis & Investment Strategy (Victoria)
Naush is a corporate strategy adviser and former investment banker with deep experience in natural resources, infrastructure, mining and energy. With a 35 year career spanning senior executive roles in Rio Tinto, Macquarie Bank and ANZ, he brings a global perspective and understanding of the key strategic, commercial, technological change and financing issues that resource companies face in pursuing corporate growth, restructuring, digital transformation, consolidation and capital management. A trusted adviser to large Australian and multinational companies Naush leads BedrockMG’s financial analysis practice. He assists clients with the generation of strategies, evaluation of key options for business improvement in the natural resources sector. He is a subject matter expert in financial analysis and modelling for investment decision-making. Naush has successfully originated and run large and complex deals for a broad range of companies including multinationals and coal miners. Selected international clients on coal sector engagements include Rio Tinto, Mitsubishi, Mitsui, KEPCO, CITIC Resources, Shenhua, Aditya Birla Group and ICVL. Naush is a qualified chemical engineer and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
